Work.
I spend a good bit of my time working (from my comfy Central Ohio home). I work as a Community College Instructor, and am currently developing courses around Data Literacy, Data Analysis, and Data Visualization.
Travel.
While the pandemic has slowed travel for me, my husband and I took our first out-of-state trip in two years as we ventured down to Lake Norman in North Carolina in March.
We’re looking to take another North Carolina trip in the near future. This trip may even take us to another National Park unit. I’m hoping that a National Park trip will reinvigorate our progress to visiting all of the National Park units in the US. We’re currently at 97/427 which hasn’t seen any progress since the lockdowns in 2020.
I miss pursuing this goal, but as we get more comfortable with travel in the current conditions, we hope to make more visits to these special places!
Learning.
My AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certificate is set to expire later this year. I am considering renewing this credential through taking a higher level AWS exam which, of course, requires a bit of digging in to learn about new skills and services.
Personal.
I’m working on developing some new habits to make my day-to-day life more productive.
Things that I’m excited about right now:
- developing a consistent reading practice (see what I’m reading on Goodreads)
- building a daily walking / exercise habit
- writing daily
